Massage Services at Church Street Clinic
At Church Street Clinic, our massage therapy services are more than just a sports massage. Laura's approach is person centred from the assessment, to the treatment, to the rehabilitation of minor and chronic musculoskeletal pain and injury. Focusing on muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia to improve movement and reduce discomfort, Laura uses a hands-on technique targeting specific injuries and movement dysfunction.
Laura's sessions start with a thorough evaluation of posture and movement so she can tailor a course of care to you as the individual, that goes beyond standard massage - Trigger point therapy, myofascial release and stretching, Muscle Energy Technique (MET) and Myofascial Cupping.
Treatments are designed to provide long lasting benefits and increase resilience to daily physical demands.
Laura believes it is imperative to understand the root cause of pain in order to restore correct movement patterns and reduce discomfort.

Introductions
Laura Harwood
Sport and movement have always been a central part of Laura’s life. She has long been fascinated by the body’s ability to adapt and perform under physical demands, which inspired her to pursue a deeper understanding of human movement and function.
Driven by this curiosity, Laura began her Sports & Remedial Massage training at the Cotswold Academy of Health & Sport, with the aim of helping others in the same way she had once been supported - progressing from severe pain and discomfort to full functionality.
She is fully qualified in Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy and holds additional certifications in Advanced Massage & Clinical Anatomy, Craniosacral Therapy, Migraine & Tinnitus Relief, and Myofascial Cupping Therapy.
With over six years of clinical experience, Laura has worked in a variety of multidisciplinary health and wellness clinics across the UK, as well as gaining experience in Canada and working as a Chiropractic Assistant.
Laura specialises in treating soft tissue dysfunction with an approach that goes beyond traditional sports massage. Her practice is person-centred, focusing on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of both minor and chronic musculoskeletal pain and injury. By addressing muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia, she aims to improve movement and reduce discomfort. Her hands-on techniques target specific injuries and movement dysfunctions, supporting both chronic pain management and injury recovery.
