Pain Management at Church Street Clinic

Dr Charlotte Small is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine and founder of Wye Sanctuary Pain Management Service. She co-leads the Herefordshire NHS Pain Management Service and offers private consultations at Church Street Clinic.

Charlotte supports people living with a wide range of persistent pain conditions, including back and neck pain, joint and nerve pain, fibromyalgia, endometriosis and pain associated with hypermobility. She combines medical assessment and appropriate treatments, including injections, with a broader understanding of how pain affects a person’s life.

A former RAF Medical Officer, Charlotte holds a PhD in rehabilitation following critical illness and injury. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative and grounded in evidence, with an emphasis on helping people feel understood and more confident in managing their pain. She welcomes veterans and offers sensitive, trauma-responsive care.
